15 years old, but you would never know it when you watch this Long Island, New York rocker command the stage. Jesse’s influences include: Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Vernon Reid, Eric Clapton, Angus Young and many others. Jesse Kinch is part of the new generation of young talent. He wants to bring rock n’ roll back to its glory days!
Jesse is a rare combination of natural ability combined with a passion, spirit and energy that is evident in his original music and his live performances.
Jesse first picked up a guitar at age 6 and was able to tune it by ear. He demonstrated exceptional rhythm and perfect pitch. Amazingly by age 7, he was able to duplicate drum solos and performances of great rock bands. A local music consultant told his parents “Jesse has a special gift and he’s amazing. Avoid too much formal training because it could halt his advanced technique, gift, and interest.”
Jesse’s passion turned towards rock n’ roll; his influences became evident in his style. He performed at a Long Island, NY rock club at age 7 with an all adult band behind him easily ripping through The Rolling Stones “Last Time.”
By age 8, Jesse was featured on TV- News Channel 12, Long Island, and was hailed a music sensation. At 10, Jesse was invited to the Sam Ash Guitar Competition where he competed with performers 2 to 3 times playing a medley of rock’s greatest hits.
The young Long Island, NY rocker is currently a high school sophomore. He’s been busy performing and captivating audiences for years. Jesse has performed at many of New York City and Long Island’s biggest clubs.
Jesse Kinch and Peace Bullit’s debut CD is set for digital release early 2010. The band plans to head into the studio fall, 2009.
Jesse’s debut singles, “Timeless Rider” and “Cutter” deal with provocative subject matters. Jesse explains “The Timeless Rider” in his song is a “Spirit Force” that represents peace and love and somehow keeps our world from succumbing to evil. It is Jesse’s belief that this “Spirit Force” is in all of us and we all have the potential to be “Timeless Riders.”
The song, “Cutter (Sinning The Skin)” centers on 3 of Jesse’s classmates who cut themselves in response to intense personal and emotional problems.
“Trying to help them became an exhausting experience,” says Jesse. “My efforts to help failed. I will always remain sympathetic to their dilemma.”
Jesse says, “What drives me now to perform is to connect with a universal audience and to be able to showcase my original songs to one day reach my dream of playing at the Grammy’s.”
Most recently, Jesse starred in Rock Icon, Eddie Money’s musical autobiography- Two Tickets to Paradise- The Musical; at the Dix Hills, New York Performing Arts Center. Jesse was hand-picked by Eddie Money for the demanding role. Jesse awed audiences for eight consecutive nights.
He sang 14 songs with energy, passion and an extraordinary dynamic quality that left audiences star-struck. He displayed a rock voice and persona that’s been his signature since he was 11 years old. Jesse’s voice demonstrated an individual emotional depth that defied his years. He captivated audiences and brought them to their feet!
Jesse amazingly portrayed Young Eddie and literally banged heads with the rock icon belting out many of Money’s hits. New York Newsday theatre critic, Steve Parks said, “Young Eddie, remarkably played by 15 year old Jesse Kinch, could be a future rock star, often sounding like the real Eddie at his peak.” Eddie says, “Jesse is just like me when I was young … the kid is going be a star!”
Without question…Jesse Kinch… is the rock star of the future.
